Mimosa Sweater Pattern

About the design: This sweater is knit in one piece, bottom-up until the underarm, when back and front are divided and it is then knit back and forth until the neckline.

The mimosas are another constant in the Aracena Mountains and the Aroche Peaks vegetation: trees that line the road to their pintoresque little towns. On the first months of the year, when the trees are flowering, a cloud of yellow specks decorate the way, the same way the color specks decorate the ribbing in this sweater.

Materials

Yardage: 

• metres: 900 (1000, 1100, 1200, 1200)m Main Color and 150m in a Contrasting Color.
• yards: 822 (914, 1005, 1100, 1100)y in MC and 137y in a CC

Yarn: Devanalana Soft Donegal Fingering (Shown in Fitzgerald and Eske): 5 (6, 6, 7, 7) skeins in MC and 1skein in CC

Needles: 3mm / US21⁄2 and 4mm / US6 needles, or size needed to get gauge, with 60 and 80 cm, or 24” and 29”, cables. 3mm/US21⁄2 and 4mm/US6 Double Pointed Needles

Notions: Stitch Markers, waste yarn or stitch holder, darning needle
